DM Connect for DI

The DM Connect for DI utility is an integration between erwin Data Modeler (erwin DM) and erwin Data Intelligence (erwin DI). It enables you to sync data between erwin DM and erwin DI using erwin Mart Portal as an interface; thus, maintaining a single metadata and glossary source.

Using DM Connect for DI, you can schedule jobs to push data models from your mart repository to erwin DI's Data Catalog and from erwin DI to erwin DM. Further, it integrates the naming standards set up on your models into the Business Glossary Manager. Enure that the names of valid values do not exceed 200 characters, or the validation rules are not exported to DI.

Before you start using DM Connect for DI, ensure that you have the following in place:

DM Connect for DI may not work as expected in any language other than English.

Once you have the above prerequisites in place,

to start exporting data to erwin DI, schedule export jobs.

to start importing data to erwin DM, schedule import jobs.

You cannot export models from erwin Mart Portal and erwin DM v12.5 to erwin DI v11.0 and v11.5.
